Annotation.

The work presents a unified design of a crest lubricator of wheel flanges with a solid lubricating filler, which can be installed both on drive wheels (locomotives) and freely rolling (wagons), Ukrzaliznytsya rolling stock, wide-gauge industrial rail transport, as well as on mine and mine underground transport with a narrow track. In iron ore quarries in Ukraine and the world, rail rail transport of a wide gauge (1520 mm) is quite widely used. A narrow rail colony (900 mm or 600 mm) is used in the mines and mines of Ukraine, so curved sections (curvings of the path) are made small (with a radius of 21 m or even less). The results of comparative tests of standard and prospective (modified) lubricants manufactured by MODIFIC LLC for comb lubricators of industrial enterprises and Ukrzaliznytsia confirm the significant effectiveness of the latest lubricants with solid lubricating filler provided for this. Comparative efficiency is up to 340%. The mechanism of action of new fillers is disclosed when filler particles, which are introduced into the friction surface together with lubricants, have insignificant abrasive properties and remove a layer of deformed metal from the friction surface, while grinding between them and thus reducing their abrasiveness. Subsequently, micro-riveting of friction surfaces occurs simultaneously with subsequent grinding of the material of solid lubricating fillers on their cleavage surfaces. At this stage, micrometallurgical processes occur at the contact points, and free ions exit the filler medium, which diffuse into the surface layers of the material and form various types of solutions and chemical compounds. On the friction surfaces, cermet layers are formed. A characteristic feature of the friction process with solid lubricating fillers is its ability to self-regulation, which is due to the simultaneous occurrence of processes on both contacting surfaces under the influence of the same load.
