Abstract.

The choice of one or another technology development of mine works in deep careers is attended with the necessity of providing stability of the formed system represented by three types of environments  – broken, technogen and natural, co-operation of which between itself results in development of negative natural--technogen processes and phenomena. The ground of stability of the system is especially actual, including an internal dump.

Subject of the study was to study stability of the “quarry - internal dump - natural environment” system and to validate rational parameters for the internal dumps of the stripping rocks in deep pit area and technology for their formation with ensured stability.

The regularities of the joint functioning of man-made, disturbed and natural geological media at mining minerals are established. It is shown that the least stable is the system that simultaneously includes three types of different media. The complex system “internal dump - natural environment” is characterized by a landslide both on the contact between the system elements and inside them. It is stated that while validating parameters for the internal dumps located in deep quarries with steeply inclined deposits, it is necessary to specify effects of natural, anthropogenic and technological conditions on the stability factor.

On the example of the Pervomaiskyi quarry, PJSC "SEVGOK", all influencing factors were established and, on the basis of their analysis, a computer simulation of anthropogenic and undisturbed rock massif was made, and stability factor was determined for internal dump and quarry wall, as well as rational parameters for internal dump formation.

Formation of internal dump in the quarry cuts prime costs of raw ore due to reduced expenses of stripping rock transportation to the external dump.

Creating of temporal internal dump on temporally non-working wall will allow to rationally use space and in future to transfer the dump with no preservation of reserves, which is a rational option in the conditions of limited ore reserves in the working area.

Keywords: deep quarry, internal dump, parameters, stability, stability factor.
