Abstract.

Mineral and rock behaviour at tectonic displacement, their ability to change their structure and form and occurrence of deformational cracks are considered. Formation of planes of sliding (the Bjom strips), their combination with other types of plastic deformation of the quartz and feldspar structure in the sandstones contribute to the  microcrack formation and full rock destruction. A similar nature of the crack formation was observed in the coal seams of Donbass and in basalts of Volyn’.

Basing on the analysis of  the above geological objects of different hierarchical levels (micro-level and macro-level) a general conformity to the law was established: a matter (ranging from a separate corn of quartz to the basalt blocks) behaviour reflects a process of changing of the object elastic-anisotropic properties under the action of the environmental external irritants and contributes to the mining rock destruction.

Keywords:

plastic microdeformations, the Donbas sandstones, destruction of  the mining rock
