Abstract.

A fundamentally new device is proposed for on-line monitoring of tunnel and equipment state in the mines with the help of up-to-date microelectronic facilities. The device shall improve validity and timeliness of information, reliability of decisions made and safety of miners. Tasks for the design include: monitoring of tunnel and facility state and agile registration and transfer of accurate information concerning safety of objects and mining operations. In the process of visual noncontact control, specific quantitative parameters of the objects are processed and, basing on the image processing, recommendations are made of how to reinstate a normal operation of the objects and prevent emergency. Such technologies as object coloring are recommended for use as they provide additional information about the object state and improve quality and accuracy of photo and video information. Basing on this research, it is the first time when a method has been designed for on-line monitoring of tunnel and equipment state in the mines, which improves validity and timeliness of information and reliability of decisions made. Practical importance of the research is a simple and economically-priced design of the device for on-line monitoring of tunnel and equipment state in the mines.

Keywords:
